Realize full blouses and skirts, gathered tops and bottoms, and A-line silhouettes, being sure to have fun with tie necklines, bell sleeves, and ruffled hems, too! Incorporating a high-quality lining into your design is almost always of necessity, as it is sheer; though, depending on the application, can be left up to personal preference. Finish garments with either french seams, zig-zag stitches, or pinking shears to help prevent the fine yarns from unraveling. As silks tend to test our patience when cutting, try layering the fabric over pattern paper or tracing paper and utilizing a rotary cutter and self-healing mat to ease the process.
